Last night not long after putting the girls to bed Claire, my five year old, came running out of her room yelling for me. I jumped up to see what was going on. She said, “mommy my tooth fell out!” Sure enough her one of her lower front tooth was missing. We did not even know it was loose! So needless to say I was not prepared for the tooth fairy to visit. I quickly got on Pinterst and looked up tooth fairy ideas. I came across a really cute tooth fairy receipt I was able to print out on cardstock. I then took two dollar bills and sprayed hairspray onto them and sprinkled it with glitter. I filled out the receipt and placed the money under her pillow. This morning she came running into my room with much excitement that the tooth fairy had visited and left her two dollars that were covered in fairy dust. I immediately smiled and knew the hours I stayed up the night before was totally worth it. Claire could not wait to spend her money today. (Another thing we have in common) She said she wanted to buy a fancy dress to play dress up with. She had one a few months ago and one of the cats decided to use their dress bin as a potty. I had to throw hundreds of dollars in dress up clothes away. I knew her $2.00 would not go far. I asked her if she wanted to look at goodwill for a dress. She happily agreed and we found a cute brown and pink dress for $2.00. Exactly the amount she had. I’d say that made for a perfect day. 🙂
