Have you ever considered getting Eyelash Extensions? After much thought and research, I did it. I got Eyelash Extensions.

I don’t know about you, but I love the thought of having long full eyelashes. I feel like I spend so much time trying to achieve the look. Have I ever mentioned putting on mascara is my least favorite thing to do? If I could skip any part of my makeup routine, that would be it. That is how much I dread it.
I do not have time or patience to apply false lashes. Nor do I like to take the time curling and applying layers and layers of mascara. I would love to have longer fuller lashes without going through all the trouble. This is where Eyelash Extensions come in. After much thought, I finally decided to try Eyelash Extensions.
I am going to show you my before, during and after photos as well as a video. I am also answering some popular questions I received on my Instagram Stories. You can see the video below or on my YouTube Channel.
Before
What are Eyelash Extensions?
Eyelash extensions are used to enhance the length, curliness, fullness, and thickness of natural eyelashes. The lashes are applied one at a time to your existing lashes using a specially formulated, semi-permanent glue.
Do they damage your natural lashes?
I was told that will not damage the natural lash. Since I just got them, I can’t say one way or another.
Do the lash extensions fall out?
Our eyelashes naturally fall out with the natural growth cycle. Since each lash extension is attached to a single eyelash, they will fall out naturally along with your natural eyelash.
Does it hurt to get Eyelash Extensions?
No, it does not hurt. It’s actually a very painless and easy. Just keep your eye closed during the application. Otherwise, the glue will get into your eye and burn.

After
How long do they last?
They last between 3-4 weeks and then you will go back and have them filled. After that, they are supposed to last another 3-4 weeks. I was instructed by my lash specialist to get a new set after having them filled once. This could vary depending on what lashes your specialist uses, so check with your lash specialist.
Can you see the glue on your eyelid?
Not at all. They look like my real lashes.
Do they feel heavy?
Nope. They feel like my normal lashes.
Can you wear mascara?
You can, but I was told I would not need to. If you do choose to wear mascara it needs to be one that is made for eyelash extensions. Also, only use it for the tips.

What do they cost?
The price varies depending on where you live and where you go. It could also depend on the type of lashes they use. Call around in your area to get a price quote. They can start out at $55 and go up to $200.
How to care for them?
- Do not get them wet for about 12 hours so the adhesive sets.
- Avoid rubbing your eyes or you could lose lashes. This was definitely a challenge for me at first because I would forget I was even wearing lashes.
- Use an oil-free makeup cleansing towel or oil-free makeup remover to remove eye makeup. I just gently wipe the top of my eyelids and underneath my lashes on the lower part of my eyelid.
- Be gentle. They are extensions, after all.
My overall thoughts?
I love love them!! The fact that I don’t have to wear mascara makes me so happy. I wake up and my eyelashes look amazing. I spend less time putting my makeup on. I don’t even need to wear eyeliner on my top eyelids.
After nine days I went back and paid to have more lashes added. I felt like I needed a little more fullness. The photo below is after I had more lashes added on day 9.
I can’t even tell you how happy I am decided to give these a try. I will keep up informed as more time passes to let you know how they hold up.
UPDATE AFTER 6 WEEKS:
I loved loved my extensions! I had them for 6 weeks, but unfortunately when I took them out my natural lashes were gone. I was told that they started to become too heavy for my natural lashes to hold. I was also told this wasn’t very common but can happen. So my natural lashes are growing back and I am wearing faux eyelashes until they do.

How has it been going with your extensions? I am getting mine for the first time this Wednesday, I am so excited! I am a little nervous about being able to keep my eyes closed. I had my lashes tinted, a much shorter process, and had some anxiety.
Yours are so gorgeous! 🙂

Congratulations 🙂 You look very very nice 🙂 I really hope everyone here had only a positive experience with extensions. Mine was not so cool. I actually lost my own eyelashes because of it and could only restore them with Cherish Lash serum. What a wonderful remedy, it gives a second chance to the eyelashes 🙂 Congrats again and be happy!!

I have had extensions for 6 months and starting to have issues I want to have them removed and afraid of what I will find. If my lashes are gone what do you suggest to use to restore them and what do you suggest for false natural lashes.

Hi Renee, I had to just let mine grow back naturally. I did wear false lashes so they had time to grow back. I hope that helps. 🙂
