Your entryway is the first place your guest see as they enter your home. My goal was to create an inviting cozy feel for my guest.

Foyer
As you enter my foyer I have a small space behind the front door. I have struggled with decorating this area for years. It is a narrow space so not just anything would fit. I have tried adding a small bench, a faux tree, and even a large wicker basket. None of which gave me the look I was desperately looking for.
Open Shelf
I finally decided to try a tall, but skinny open shelf. It was perfect! I then added some modern farmhouse decor. Some items I already had and some I found on Amazon or Hobby Lobby. I linked all the items or similar items at the end of this post
Greenery
I love greenery so I added a boxwood topiary. I also love cotton boll buds, wreathes and stems. It’s so Joanna Gains.
I added a small succulent plant along with more greenery and a Faith Family Friends sign. I also love anything monogrammed so I added that as well.
Styling Open Shelves
Sometimes styling open shelves this can be overwhelming. Knowing what pieces to add can also be imtimidating. The last thing you want is for your shelves to look cluttered. Here are some tips I have.
- Use different size decor. This way the eyes have a chance to look at all the pieces.
- Repeated some of the items. I added multiple greenery pieces and monogram decor.
- Keep the same color scheme. Notice I used a lot of greenery mixed with whites and natural colors.
I simply love how this turned out.

Boxwood Monogram
I continued with the boxwood decor with this boxwood monogram letter on my sliding barn door.
Sofa Table
As you look to the right of my foyer I have this sofa table which I decorate seasonally. Right now I am decorating for spring and summer. I love the pops of green and white with the dark wood.
Wall Decor
This is one of my favorite signs. I love being home, with my family.
